The project included the design and reconstruction of County Road 28 (Barron Canyon Road) between Priebe Road and the boundary of Algonquin Park, a distance of approximately 6.5km. The roadway acts as the access to Algonquin Park, both for tourists and for logging operations.

The design included road reconstruction, ditching/grading improvements, clearing work to improve line of sight on horizontal curves, new centerline culverts, and replacement of all existing entrances.
